Sundance Ignite Short Film Master Class

Sundance Ignite, a program of the Sundance Institute, will present a short film master class with writer/director Kelly Reichardt; Mike Plante, shorts film programmer at the Sundance Institute; and Bethany Clarke, manager of the Sundance Institute’s Film Forward Initiative. Reichardt is an artist-in-residence at Bard College. She has been the recipient of United States Artists and Guggenheim fellowships, and her work has been screened at the Whitney Museum of American Art’s Whitney Biennial; the Cannes Film Festival’s “Un Certain Regard”; the Venice Film Festival; the Sundance Film Festival; the Toronto Film Festival; and the BFI London Film Festival.

The event will include special screenings of Sundance Short Film winners “Thunder Road” and “Jungle.”

The event is co-sponsored by the Newhouse School and the James D. Kuhn Film Fund at the College of Visual and Performing Arts. Jimmy Kuhn ’70, G’72 is a Syracuse alumnus and president of Newmark Knight Frank.
